When I finally put the disc on and listened, I was blown away by the acoustic delta blues sound and the unbelievably powerful raspy voice of Carns.

We specify then that the songs of the CD are subdivided between songs written by Gypsy and many classics of Christians like Blind Willie Johnson, Rev. Pearly Brown, Rev. Edward W. Clayborn, the Mississippi Fred Mc Dowell, Rev. Gary Davis. The simple interpretation of Carns exalts the saving message of the songs for purists of the old blues.

We are speaking therefore about a musician with over 40 years experience that in 1992 has decided to begin a solo career with the idea of preaching and the Christian evangelization with blues a lot rough and genuine.

Mr. Gypsy Carns has a space in the gospel world. How can you imagine a tatooed old man with his acoustic guitar travelling around the world playing blues? Just to bring the holy bible to the blues people. And he is in the road since 1966. Can you believe it? He has a mission, and seems to not stop it until the end of time (i trully believe he has immotallity).

With his guitar and voice our soul ‘preacher’ gives us his evangelical blues with the same passion, devotion and joy than ever. As usual Gypsy Carns gives the best of himself in the music he passionately loves, the ‘acoustic house rockin’ gospel blues, he perfectly knows and mastery plays. VERY GOOD.
