GYPSY CARNS

With a heavy heart I share the news of my best friend's passing, my buddy for the past 13 years - Jake Carns. He has been with Caroline and I since the first year of our marriage. He passed away on the 28th, and we miss him deeply. A more loveable, sweet, and loyal animal I have never known. I wrote this eulogy for him and wanted to share it with my friends who come to the site.

My heart is surely breaking,
Over my friend’s demise.
His body, bruised and aching,
Yet he wore a smile’s disguise.

From birth your heart beat fast,
You ran like the wind.
Your body could not last,
But your memory will never end.

Goodbye to this life, blessed and sweet,
Hello salvation, you are made whole.
On the other side we will meet,
When death seeks out my soul.

Friend of mine, I’ll not replace you.
The sands of time will not erase you.
Your dedication I will proclaim,
Jake Is Your Name.
