Music is funny..it is timeless. This review just came out on one of my records I recorded a few years back. I love this record - Gospel Train Coming. We recorded it at Flatwood Studio on Christmas Eve. 1 mic, 1 guitar, 1 man; no overdubs, all cut live in one day. All acoustic. It was a great time and this record has received some excellent reviews. Here's the latest...sort of funny because it is an unbeliever who is "Reviewing" this CD.
"Okay, you can officially call me absolutely gobsmacked. When I first got this CD to review, I wasn’t all that enthused because of the gospel music/religious aspect. When I finally put the disc on and listened, I was blown away by the acoustic delta blues sound and the unbelievably powerful raspy voice of Carns. The title track is probably the best song for me on the disc, but each song really has it’s own life. For me, leaving aside the religious aspect of the lyrics, I just really appreciated how good the album sounded in all regards.’"-- Jay Roberts - "Rock Is Life"
