2 Timothy 2:12: "If we endure, we shall reign with Him. If we deny Him, he also will deny us." Persevering in the faith even in the face of hardship or persecution will result in a reward when Christ returns (Luke 19: 11-27). He will also deny us: If believers deny the enduring of persecution for Christ, He will deny them the reward and reign that could have been theirs.
COME AND STAY - Matthew 11:28: 'Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.' "Yes, come for rest. But stay for rest, too. Stop all feverish haste and be calm and untroubled. Come unto Me, not only for petitions to be granted but for nearness to Me. Be sure of My Help, be conscious of My Presence, and wait until My Rest fills your soul. Rest knows no fear. Rest knows no want. Rest is strong, sure. The rest of soft glades and peacefully flowing rivers, of strong, immovable hills. Rest, and all you need to gain this rest is to come to Me. So come." Lord..please Bless our group as we come to you ..for we know there is much power when many souls come together in Your Name. Have a restful weekend brothers and sisters!
Psalm 27: 1: "Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth." As Jesus did in His teaching ( Matthew 6:25-34), the wise of ancient Israel warned about a concern for tomorrow that overshadows the needs of today.
LEARN OF ME - John 6:68: 'Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.' "Learn of no one but Me. Teachers are to point the way to Me. After that you must accept Me, the Great Teacher. The words of Eternal Life are all the words controlling your being, even controlling your temporal life. Take these too from Me. Have no fear. Abide in Me and accept My ruling. Be full of gratitude. Wing up your prayers on Praise to Heaven. Take all that happens as My planning. All is well. I have all prepared in My Love. Let your heart sing."
Psalm 136:1-2: "Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever." Give thanks means to give public acknowledgment; it is one of the principal words for praise in the Psalms. Mercy, which may also be translated "loyal love," is the most significant term used in the Psalms to describe the character of God. His mercy is "forever"; it is part of His eternal character. God of gods: The poet uses Hebrew superlatives to proclaim the Lord as the Supreme Deity. Special thanks to Pastor John Branning for sharing this scripture on All saints Sunday. It was a GREAT CONNECT Service!!!
